Overview
This week we?ll be modeling a complex organic spray bottle design as defined by a 2D industrial design sketch. Using our sketch as an underlay, we?ll practice using the sub-d modeling tools we?ve learned to build a complex multi-part model, complete with ?working? hinged spray lever.
topics:
- Backdrop Items
- Complex hard-surface modeling
- Locking/Unlocking geometry
- PSubs and edge weighting
- Item Pivots and assembly constraints

“Alice laughed: “There’s no use trying,” she said; “one can’t believe impossible things.”
“I daresay you haven’t had much practice,” said the Queen. “When I was younger, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”
Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland.
Design and model a completely absurd object in modo. Allow that the word “absurd” might refer to an object that is logically impossible, ridiculous, ironic, or strange in some fundamental way. Design and model the object this week, and render it next week.
