This post is a part of an extended video series covering the basics of SolidWorks. If you are new to this series, start here.

Today we’ll be modeling a stylized kitchen serving spoon by making heavy use of the SolidWorks spline and boundary surface tools. We’ll also be using a hand-sketched underlay for reference, and learning some handy Photo-shoppery to make the experience clean and easy on the eyes. Enjoy!

Update: As requested, here’s the spoon underlay used in the tutorial. Have fun!

Hello everyone my name is Jacinto from Spain, I’m trying to do the exercise video number 23 where I have to create the perpendicular construction line.
I do not get to see the background image.
    Anyone know why this happens?
    Thanks

      Hi Jacinto:

      Thanks for checking out cadjunkie!

I’m afraid you’re going to have to be a bit more explicit with your question, as I’m not quite sure what exactly you mean. Could you please clarify?

      Best,
      Adam (the cadjunkie)

When I’m building the model for the spon example, I have activated all 3 planes, or the axis but not see them on the drawing area and also in the video spon number 23 and I have to create constructive perpendicular line is not visible, nor the sketch picture and I can not continue, if you are still not understand I can send you an email if it makes me

I happened to comment that I’m enjoying his method of teaching solidworks, really impressive, the only thing I think you need to do would be able to download files to study.
I apologize to my poor English but I think I’ll learn two things at once “solin and Inglés”
